San Antonio is located in the northern part of the island of Ibiza and is characterized by the lively nightlife of the city center, for the fantastic sunsets and for the beaches with crystal clear water that surround the bay.

San Antonio is the second largest town in Ibiza, originally it was called Portus Magnus by the Romans; today it is fully called San Antoni de Portmany (in Catalan) and San Antonio Abad (in Spanish). Although known for its buzzing nightlife, during the day there are many different activities such as scuba diving, boat trips, beach volleyball, shopping, entertainment of various kinds or you can just relax on the golden sands of the fantastic surrounding beaches: Cala Comte, Cala Tarida, Cala Bassa to name just a few. The locality, in recent years, has mainly attracted English tourists; in the months of July and August San Antonio is populated by an energetic crowd of young people who roam the nightclubs, while in the months of May, June, September and October there are many families to enjoy the many resources available, in an atmosphere definitely quieter. The town has a row of bars located mainly at the west end, an area in the center of the town that is filled with kids dancing and having fun at night, the so-called “sunset strip”, a selection of famous chill-out bars and restaurants where many people gather every evening to see the sunset of Ibiza, the most famous are the Cafè del Mar and the Mambo. The bars along the waterfront are also very lively but attract a different and more lively clientele than that of the west end.
